A student in one of my classes is quite disruptive. Do you have any suggestions for how to handle the situation?

Ask Your Question
The next time it happens, ask the student to speak to you after class. Once you are able to speak with the student privately impress on them that the behavior needs to stop and that you’ll ask them to leave the classroom if it happens again. Hopefully that will not be necessary but you cannot let the disruption continue. If the behavior continues, I’d ask your Department head to intervene and remove the student from your roster.
